Media Event - Meeting One

As part of our module we have to plan and hold a media event for BTEC students at Bath College on the 30th April on campus. We will need to assign people roles in the event and do so by having our first group meeting in which I was held head of to ensure everyone gets their say on what they would like to do. Roles included chief organiser of the event, 2 deputies, meeter and greeters, finance, head of rooms, tech, photography, editors and refreshments.

The meeting was successful and everyone had now been assigned roles and I have a role I really wanted as deputy and runner of green screen room. Megan is head organiser for the event and her first task is finding out what how many students we have and to begin thinking about the plan for the day.

Finance wise we have an estimated £200 to play with that will need to pay for catering and a guest speaker if we can get one. Jessie is in charge of this task and already has a few ideas up her sleeve!

My main role now is to recce the room I will be looking after Dairy G10, think of some ideas for tasks and activities and help Megan with any support she needs.
